Music Matters Live is turning 21, and it is marking the milestone with four nights of free live music in Singapore.
Happening from 2 to 4 October and 7 October at CQ @ Clarke Quay, this year's edition will bring together 40 emerging artists from 15 countries, with performances taking place at Fountain Square, Swee Lee, and more venues around CQ @ Clarke Quay.
The lineup includes Lola Amour from the Philippines, KID PHENOMENON from EXILE TRIBE and LIL LEAGUE from Japan, DOLLA from Malaysia, Borderline from New Zealand, Bratty from Mexico, Pierce Brothers and Flynn Gurry from Australia, Singapore's St. Humain, China's Runyu, and more.
Music Matters Live will also host a series of dedicated showcases throughout the week. Universal Music's Music Is Universal returns on 4 October with performances from DOLLA, LYHAN, MARBLES, VVV, and XONARA, bringing together acts from Malaysia, Vietnam, Indonesia, Thailand, and the Philippines.
The festival's MadeIN series will expand with the debut of MadeIN Philippines Spotlight Weekend, presented by NCCA in partnership with BSE and Music Matters. Running from 2 to 4 October, it will feature Filipino acts KAIA, PIX!E, and Lola Amour. MadeIN Japan will bring LIL LEAGUE and KID PHENOMENON to the stage on 3 October, while the inaugural MadeIN Nagaland showcase will spotlight emerging artists from the Indian state.
Meanwhile, Sounds Australia will stage two showcases on 3 and 4 October, featuring Alice George, FVNERAL, Flynn Gurry, Holly Hebe, Lucy Sugerman, Mariae Cassandra, Peach Fuzz, Pierce Brothers, Reuben De Melo, SAHXL, Squid The Kid, and TOWNS.

Closing out Music Matters Live on 7 October is Girls' Night Out, presented by It's A Girl Thing and Branded. The showcase will feature Bratty — the festival's first artist from Mexico — alongside Maisha Kanna, Lucy Sugerman, SARINA, Singapore's Haneri on the decks, and more. According to the organisers, around half of this year's lineup is female-led.
Music Matters Live will take place alongside the 21st edition of All That Matters, which runs from 5 to 7 October, and forms part of the Singapore Grand Prix Season.
