Rising Filipino-American artist Labit has just unveiled SOL, an 18-track indie-pop coming-of-age debut that hits like a handwritten journal and sounds like home.

Named after his grandmother Solita — affectionately called “Grandma Sol” — SOL is a deeply personal tribute to family, identity, and the chaos of finding clarity in your twenties. It’s not just an album, it’s a time capsule of kitchen-table wisdom and late-night soul-searching, told in Labit's honeyed vocals and warm analog textures.

SOL is me taking stock of who raised me, what shaped me, and how to move forward with grace,’” says Labit. “These songs are about finding clarity: in love, in family, and in myself.”

The Los Angeles-based singer-songwriter (real name Stephen Ordoñez) threads his Filipino heritage and sonic storytelling across 18 tracks.

Early singles like 'MANGOES AND RICE' are love letters to growing up Filipino-American, while tracks like 'CLEANING OUT THE FRIDGE' (ft. Emily Rowed) explore vulnerability with radical honesty. Meanwhile, 'PARALLEL' offers a warm, cinematic snapshot of discovering love that’s been right beside you all along.

The album flows through moods like seasons — from the dreamy ‘FEBRUARY’ to the chaotic comedy of 'ALL MY PLANTS ARE DYING', before landing softly on the heart-tugging title track 'SOL'.
