Japanese boy band Naniwa Danshi are marking a major milestone in their career with the release of their fifth-anniversary album, ND⁵ (read as "NDfive"), now available on streaming platforms worldwide.
As the seven-member group approaches the fifth anniversary of their CD debut this November, ND⁵ serves as a celebration of the bright, uplifting pop sound that has defined their journey so far. The album brings together previously released singles including 'Asymmetry', 'Black Nightmare', 'Never Romantic', and 'HARD WORK', while introducing 11 brand-new tracks.
Leading the release is 'Celebrate', a jubilant anthem that captures the group's gratitude towards their fans, affectionately known as NaniFam. Another standout is 'Gimme the Day', a cheerful, groove-driven rap track that doubles as the official commercial song for ROUND1, Japan's nationwide amusement chain, for which the group also serves as ambassadors.
Fans can also look forward to 'Be My Baby', the theme song for the film Yamaguchi-kun Isn't So Bad, starring member Kyohei Takahashi. Elsewhere on the album, 'Nanairo day by day' reunites the group with Yujin Kitagawa of Yuzu, marking their first collaboration since 2022's 'Sachiare'. Meanwhile, songwriter Kenichi Maeyamada (better known as Hyadain) contributes 'Bokugakawaikute Kimigakawaikute' ('I'm Cute and You're Cute'), adding another fan-friendly pop gem to the collection.
Comprised of Daigo Nishihata, Ryusei Onishi, Shunsuke Michieda, Kyohei Takahashi, Kento Nagao, Joichiro Fujiwara, and Kazuya Ohashi, Naniwa Danshi debuted under STARTO ENTERTAINMENT and Storm Labels in 2021. Over the past five years, the group have built a reputation for delivering infectious pop tracks and feel-good performances, earning a dedicated following across Japan and beyond.
In addition to the digital release, ND⁵ is also available in multiple physical editions featuring exclusive bonus content and behind-the-scenes footage for collectors.
