NCT 127 are marking a decade together with a new album and a new chapter ahead. The K-pop group’s seventh full-length album, BLINGY, features nine tracks reflecting on their 10-year journey while looking towards what comes next.
At the heart of the record is 'Blingy', an explosive hip-hop title track that brings together distorted synths, heavy drums, and a chant-led chorus, with elements of rage and dubstep. The accompanying music video sees NCT 127 become “Seoul’s fixers”, travelling across the city on a mission to recover the titular “Blingy”. TAEYONG also contributed to the track’s choreography.
The album expands on NCT 127’s signature energy with 'Legacy', 'Piñata', 'Step Up', and 'IKR', while 'Getaway' and 'Day After Day' explore escape, perseverance, and staying true to yourself.
Elsewhere, '127 Million Miles' brings all seven members, including DOYOUNG and JUNGWOO, together for a message about remaining connected despite the distance between them. TAEYONG and JOHNNY also contributed lyrics to 'I mean, It’s about time', which looks back on the group’s first decade and their promise to keep moving forward together.
The release follows NCT 127’s appearance at KCON LA and a guest performance on America’s Got Talent, where they performed 'Piñata' ahead of the album’s arrival.
Next up, the group will embark on their fifth world tour, NCT 127 5TH TOUR ‘NEO CITY – THE REDLINE’. The tour will begin with three shows at Seoul’s KSPO DOME from 18 to 20 September, before heading to Jakarta, Hong Kong, Singapore, Bangkok, and Taipei. Further dates are set to be announced via NCT 127’s official social channels.
