NCT’s TAEYONG gets 'WYLD' as he unveils his debut solo album with dark and seductive title track MV

Chaos, charm, and bold artistry are the three elements that shine brighter than ever on NCT’s TAEYONG full-length solo album WYLD.

Staying true to the album's title, there is nothing even remotely tame about this record. TAEYONG goes all out to represent his solo identity. Beyond being just another release, the record marks one of the biggest milestones in his solo artistry as he unleashes his inner artist through the fearless genre-breaking sound of the album, traversing the realms of hip-hop, jazz, rock, electronic, hyperpop, and future bass. WYLD shows NCTzens a side of TAEYONG they have never seen before as his vocals ooze a fiery passion while the lush production captures his raw creative sensibilities.

The title track of the album 'WYLD' is the perfect track to sum up the authentic and unguarded tone of the album as it takes inspiration from the instinctual behaviour that wild animals display. The track is moulded around TAEYONG's determination and primal urge to forge his own path and create new milestones through his music. The track builds throughout each verse before exploding into an electrifying chorus that truly communicates his fire to perfect his artistry as a musician.

TAEYONG first gave fans a glimpse of some of the songs featured on the tracklist of WYLD back in January during his TY TRACK – REMASTERED show. As he played tracks such as 'Skiii,' 'Feeling Myself,' 'Mermaid,' and '404 Euphoria,' he reinforces his ability to fuse musical experimentation and evocative lyricism to create unique melodies that represented TAEYONG's artistic persona. Uncovering more of his experimental capabilities, tracks such as 'I’m a Dancing Cactus', driven by the hyper-energetic EDM beats, to the striking intensity of 'Storm' set him apart from other artists.

TAEYONG unveiled more about WYLD during a special exhibition and listening event in Seoul, giving more insight to fans about the release, sharing, "I’m really excited and looking forward to sharing this album. Over the past two years, I spent a lot of time looking back on my previous work, learning, and pushing myself to grow. I worked on this album with the hope of showing a more evolved side of myself, and I hope it becomes a project that awakens your musical instincts."
