"I am happy to let you know that we are now working on the new episodes for Pokémon Concierge!" Director Iku Ogawa, who was nominated for an Annie Award for Pokémon Concierge, shares in a statement to Variety. "Life at the Pokémon Resort continues. Please look forward to it! Let’s see which Pokémon will come visit as a guest this time!"
Pokémon Concierge premiered on Netflix on 28 December 2023 with four 15-minute episodes that take fans to a tropical island, where Pokémon and trainers alike can chill and relax, with Haru (voiced by The Boys actress Karen Fukuhara) as she learns to have fun, take care of herself, and makes friends along the way.
"Because it’s on an island and we are near water, there are a lot of water-type Pokémon that appeared," Producer Hidenaga Katakami told Variety. "In the future, maybe we’ll have some more water-type Pokemon, but at the same time, maybe it’ll be interesting if you do the opposite. For example, electric-type Pokemon are not really good near water, but maybe it’s interesting if you bring them to a water-rich environment and see how they react."
Pokémon Concierge features 'Have a Good Time Here', the theme song by city pop singer Mariya Takeuchi.
