On 8 September, a decomposed and dismembered corpse now identified as 15-year-old Celeste Rivas was found in R&B singer d4vd's impounded Tesla, after employees in the tow yard reported a foul smell.
While the investigations were still ongoing, the suspicions as to the Romantic Homocide singer's involvement with the case and the victim were not major since he had been travelling across the country performing on his tour. However, as of 17 September, the related authorities have confirmed the identity of the victim as Celeste Rivas, who had been reported missing since 4 May 2024.
According to sources such as TMZ, Celeste's mother has stated that her daughter had a tattoo on her right index finger that said, "Shhh..." matching a tattoo with an identical placement belonging to d4vd. Celeste's mother also states that she had suspected that the body found in d4vd's trunk had been her daughter, as she had heard her mention having a boyfriend named David.
However, the public should take note that the tattoo is not unique and multiple celebrities, such as Lindsay Lohan and even Rihanna, have a similar tattoo.
Amidst the accusations and backlash that d4vd is facing with the release of this new information, his career is taking a hit. For instance, Kali Uchis has commented that she will be pulling their collaborative track 'Crashing,' given the disturbing nature of the news that has been released about the him.
