A section of NewJeans’ fandom has taken their frustrations to the streets.

On 3 March, members of Bunnies held a truck protest in front of HYBE’s headquarters in Yongsan, calling on both HYBE and ADOR to put an end to what they described as a prolonged and unproductive dispute. The LED trucks displayed messages demanding guaranteed full-group promotions for all five members — Minji, Hanni, Danielle, Haerin, and Hyein.

What are fans asking for?

In a statement shared during the demonstration, fans referenced a recent ruling by the Seoul Central District Court, which reportedly found no valid grounds for contract termination in a case filed by former ADOR CEO Min Hee Jin, now head of ooak Records.

Bunnies argued that HYBE escalated tensions based on what they called a false claim of a management rights takeover. They called on HYBE Chairman Bang Si Hyuk to take responsibility and resolve the dispute.

The protest also included demands directed at ADOR CEO Lee Do Kyung, urging the withdrawal of a lawsuit involving Danielle’s family, stronger protection of the group, and legal action over media reports and the alleged leak of overseas CCTV footage.

Additionally, fans called on BELIFT LAB CEO Kim Tae Ho to apologise over plagiarism allegations involving ILLIT and remove a video they claim undermines NewJeans’ identity.

“NewJeans is five”

The protest concluded with a clear message: fans want full-group activities restored. Bunnies warned that if their demands are not addressed, they are prepared to pursue stronger collective action.

As the legal and corporate dispute continues to unfold, fans across Asia are watching closely — and making it known that, to them, NewJeans is five.
