The next installment of Esplanade — Theatres on the Bay's Rocking The Region is almost here. 

Scheduled to take place at the Singapore-based performing arts centre from 16 June to 29 June, the 2023 iteration of the free concert series will — like past editions — bring together the best alternative bands from Southeast Asia. 

Bands hailing from the host country that will be performing at Rocking The Region 2023 include emo-pop outfit Carpet Golf, alternative quartet Krunkle, indie and rap septet 730BEDSIDE, Vegetable (which is made up of members of Subsonic Eye, Sobs, and Cosmic Child), instrumental band monda(e), post-punk band INTERMISSION, and indie pop-rock group Shirly Temple.

Manila-based indie-rock bands Cheats and Oh, Flamingo! will make up the contingent from the Philippines while genre-banding outfit Door Plant, indie/psych-pop quartet FOLK9, and indie-pop act KIKI will represent Thailand. Completing the lineup are producer and singer-songwriter Kurosuke and indie rockers Polka Wars from Indonesia.
