Seven years after his last Manila visit, Charlie Lim returned with new music and a chance to get a little closer to his listeners.
The Singaporean singer-songwriter, who last performed in the city at Wanderland Music Festival in 2019, was back for a more intimate affair on 11 October. At ANALOG MNL in Makati, fans put their phones away to join him for a vinyl listening session and acoustic performances celebrating his latest album, DAYDREAM.
Ahead of the visit, Charlie released a new version of album track 'One Day I’ll Learn', featuring an additional verse written and performed by Filipino rapper Young Cocoa. The pair performed it together for the first time on Rappler Live Jam.
Between a shoot with Esquire Philippines and hanging out with Clara Benin, Charlie checked out local designers at PURVEYR Plaza, found a new favourite restaurant in Lazy Suzy, and befriended a particularly cuddly Makati cat.
In this edition of On The Road, Charlie takes us through his eventful week in Manila with a tour diary of photographs and personal recollections.
