ONE OR EIGHT are finding strength in the journey with their new single, ‘Yellow Brick Road’.
Released on 7 October, the track marks the group’s first Japanese-language song and serves as the ending theme for the second season of Black Clover.
Inspired by protagonist Asta’s determination to move forward despite being born without magic, ‘Yellow Brick Road’ explores choosing your own path and leaning on the people beside you through moments of anxiety, loneliness, and uncertainty.
The mid-tempo ballad pairs an expansive sound with a gradually building sense of hope. Its message also reflects ONE OR EIGHT’s own journey, drawing on the group’s resolve to make their own choices and keep going through setbacks.
The Japanese word “君” (“you”) carries a double meaning in the song, referring both to Asta’s companions and to 1DERZ, the fans who have supported ONE OR EIGHT along the way. The single’s artwork echoes these themes through a fantastical landscape bathed in sunset colours.
‘Yellow Brick Road’ follows the group’s debut EP, EN-GÏNE, released on 16 September. It also arrives ahead of ONE OR EIGHT Special SHOWCASE 2026 in ASIA -V8-, which will bring them to Singapore on 21 October, Manila on 23 October, and Bangkok on 25 October.
