In an official statement earlier this evening (6/9) by Alliance française de Manille, the organizers stated that they are cancelling the Makati main stages for this year's celebration of Fete de la Musique. The Philippine edition of World Music Day turns 23 this year with two main stages - one in Greenbelt and another in A-Venue on June 17, Saturday. However, due to "security reasons", organizers have decided to cancel the main stage festivities. They further explained that both institutions are taking precautionary actions and refraining from holding large events at the moment.
The organizers clarified that all other stages will go on as originally scheduled.
