The second single from Jana Nayagan, titled ‘Oru Pere Varalaaru’, has continued to gain massive traction online following the release of its lyrical video. Premiering on T-Series’ official YouTube channel on 18 December, the video has now crossed over 13 million views, reflecting the scale of anticipation surrounding the film.
Composed by Anirudh Ravichander, with lyrics by Vivek, ‘Oru Pere Varalaaru’ is sung by Vishal Mishra, with additional vocals by Anirudh. Designed as a rousing mass anthem, the song revolves around themes of legacy and identity, driven by the recurring line “oru pere varalaaru, azhichalum azhiyaadhu”. The lyrical video places Thalapathy Vijay at the forefront, blending dialogue-heavy moments with visuals that emphasise the film’s political undertones.
Indian Express described the song as positioning Vijay as the “ultimate people’s hero”, while fan reactions across X and YouTube have praised his screen presence and enduring mass appeal. Since its release, clips, lyric excerpts, and celebratory posts have continued to circulate widely, contributing to the song’s rapid rise in views.
Jana Nayagan is an upcoming Tamil political action thriller slated for a 9 January Pongal release. The film stars Vijay alongside Pooja Hegde and Bobby Deol, and marks another collaboration between Vijay and Anirudh. Following the earlier single ‘Thalapathy Kacheri’, ‘Oru Pere Varalaaru’ further ramps up momentum for the film’s soundtrack ahead of its theatrical debut.
