Over October to play biggest headline concert yet as original lineup bids farewell this October

Over October are preparing for the biggest headline show of their career at the New Frontier Theater, taking place on 4 October in Quezon City.

The concert arrives after two sold-out performances at the Music Museum and the band's successful anniversary show at MOA Sky, marking another milestone as the Filipino alternative pop outfit celebrates 12 years together. More significantly, the show will serve as drummer Janessa "Janae" Geronimo's farewell performance, making it the final official concert featuring the band's original five-member lineup before they enter a new chapter.

Speaking about the upcoming transition, the band shared that Janessa's departure has brought a mix of emotions: "For better or for worse, Janessa's departure is something we will all have to come to terms with. We're all, for the most part, excited for both Over October's and Janessa's respective new chapters. But of course, we also feel that a good thing is about to come to an end."

The band also acknowledged that moving forward without one of its founding members remains an adjustment, but emphasised that their friendship extends beyond the stage. While the creative process may evolve, their immediate focus remains on delivering their strongest performances in the months leading up to the concert.

Over the past 12 years, Over October have become one of the Philippines' defining alternative pop acts, building a devoted fanbase through heartfelt songwriting, memorable live shows, and songs that have resonated with a generation of listeners. Looking back on their journey, the band said that the memories they've created together are just as meaningful as their streaming achievements and sold-out concerts.
