Davao-based girl group DAELUX have stepped into the P-pop scene with their pre-debut single, 'Like That'.
Released under Sony Music Entertainment, the upbeat pop track captures the thrill and uncertainty that come with catching feelings for someone — from reading into the smallest signals to wondering whether they feel the same way.
“We were drawn to this theme because the feeling of liking someone and trying to figure out where you stand is something a lot of people can relate to,” shared DAELUX. “There’s excitement, but there’s also that uncertainty when you start overthinking little actions.”
Rather than dwelling on that uncertainty, 'Like That' approaches young love with optimism and candour. Beneath its playful sound is an encouragement to be open about your feelings while remembering your own worth.
Produced by Pao Lofranco and co-written by AndreaH, the track also saw the seven members contributing creative ideas throughout the songwriting process. Its vocal harmonies were developed alongside the group’s vocal coach, Ma’am Shelley, with parts distributed to showcase each member's individual voice.

'Like That' marks DAELUX's first release since partnering with Sony Music Philippines. Comprising Davao natives CK, Alice, Ara, Rhya, Slane, Zyra, and Riri, the group also worked with a Davao-based team on their music and performance video, keeping their emerging P-pop identity rooted in their hometown.
“Being part of Sony Music is a huge opportunity for us,” the group shared. “It gives us the chance to learn, grow, and take our music more seriously as artists.”
