So how many songs did it take you to unleash your wild side at the Wanderland Jungle?

For us, not too many. 2017 is already proving to be the Year of Better Stuff, starting with Karpos Multimedia's carefully curated lineup. Wanderband winners Lola Amour's, Mickey Sulit's and Banna Harbera's charming performances were more than enough for us to forgive their delayed sets, while local favorites Fools & Foes, UDD, Reese Lansangan, Urbandub's Gab & John, and Tom's Story made us feel that every busy intersection, zebra lane and stoplight was worth crossing to get to the south of Manila on that sunny-now-rainy-later Saturday.

But while the weather was moody and quite jarring not only for our shoes (we will talk about this and more on our full report), the music — from the swoon-worthy hits of LANY, HONNE, and Woodlock, to the sheer gloriousness of Yuna, Explosions in the Sky, and Purity Ring, and the all-too-familiar spirit of The Ting-Tings and The Temper Trap — was maddeningly magical and more than enough to make you dance, howl, and really go bananas.
