Pokémon fans and musicians re-imagine 'Diamond and Pearl' soundtrack with Lo-fi compilation – listen

The music of Pokémon's Sinnoh region has gone Lo-Fi.

Whenever you have to put down your Nintendo Switch so you could hit your day job, you can still immerse yourself in the world of Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl with the 'Poké Lo-Fi' playlist, co-created and curated by SageNine (a.k.a Nathen Paige). The hour-long compilation centers on the music of the latest Pokémon title and re-imagings of its iconic soundtrack.

The project, which SageNine describes as a "labor of love", features Lo-fi mixes by ThatJamOnToast, Mipsick, AleksAleyard, OtosanBeats, metro libra, Alter Loy, Instru/mentality, hoenn, Samuel Aguirre Soto, Gunwoo, and many more.

2021 marks the 25^th anniversary of Pokémon. With pop icon Katy Perry at the forefront, the Pokémon Company held celebrations throughout the year with music collaborations, special collectibles, and nostalgic trips to commemorate the game's legacy and latest milestone.
