POPPY and Fever 333 collaborate on heavy, perplexing track, 'Scary Mask' – listen

Poppy and Fever 333 may have just released the collaboration we never knew we needed, but secretly wanted all along.

After releasing her sophomore album, Am I A Girl?, last year, which featured two metal-pop tracks, 'X', and 'Play Destroy' featuring Grimes, Poppy is bent on further building upon her unique sound. To do that, she enlisted the help of metal supergroup Fever 333 for a new track, titiled 'Scary Mask'.

'Scary Mask' begins with soft twangs of an acoustic guitar and a simple snare hit, before morphing into classic Fever 333 territory, complete with blistering drum fills, piercing guitar licks and spine-tingling screams. The momentum constantly shifts throughout the track, keeping listeners on their toes over the course of its runtime.

A music video for the single will be released in the coming days, and if it's anything like a regular Poppy video, things are going to get weird.
