CHUDAHYE CHAGIS are back with a powerful new ritual for the ears. SOSUMINJOK (Minority) is the band’s second full-length release and a stunning evolution of their genre-defying sound—fusing Korean shamanic ritual music (muga) with psychedelic funk, hip-hop, R&B, and dancehall.

Led by CHUDAHYE, formerly of Asian fusion rock band SsingSsing (of NPR Tiny Desk fame), the Seoul-based collective continues to challenge conventions with music rooted in ancestral traditions and fired up with modern urgency.

Across nine tracks, SOSUMINJOK pulses with untamed rhythms, improvisational energy, and cultural resistance. Built on deep grooves and raw textures, the album reclaims space for voices on the fringe—those often unheard, but impossible to ignore. It’s more than a sonic experience; it’s a spiritual declaration.

SOSUMINJOK is not just an album; it is a ritual, a declaration, and a powerful new statement within the contemporary music scene,” the band shares.

With previous highlights like their Kennedy Center debut and a Korean Music Award win for Best R&B/Soul Song in 2021, CHUDAHYE CHAGIS are poised to once again captivate global ears with a sound that’s uniquely and unapologetically their own.
