Last week, emerging rock band PVRIS swung by Singapore for their first show here ever as part of LAMC Productions' Rising Star series. The Hard Rock Cafe at Cuscaden was packed out to see Alex Babinski, Lyndsey Gunnulfsen and Brian MacDonald perform their cathartic blend of rock, alternative, and post-hardcore.
PVRIS' audience is unquestionably young and millennial, and it was unsurprising that everyone had their phones out – it got a touch annoying even for the band, who requested that phones be pocketed before they started a song. Nevertheless, it was a hell of a show that showcased why PVRIS were the perfect fit for this Rising Star series. Enjoy these shots from Bandwagon's photographer Ambry Nurhayati, deliberately all monochromatic – a leaf taken out of PVRIS' own aesthetic book.
Special thanks to LAMC Productions for the invite.
