Renowned pianist Lang Lang makes his long-awaited return to the Singapore stage with a concert performance of Lang Lang Plays Disney.
In honour of Disney’s centennial, Lang Lang recorded Lang Lang: The Disney Book, a groundbreaking album featuring fresh arrangements of classic Disney songs. Since its debut in 2022, this enchanting project has captivated audiences worldwide, with performances at prestigious venues like the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles, London’s Royal Albert Hall, and cultural hubs such as New York, Paris, Toronto.
On 12 and 14 June, this magical concert will make its Southeast Asia premiere at The Star Theatre in Singapore.
Watch as Lang Lang reimagines Disney melodies through his unique style - blending impressionist, romantic, and virtuosic techniques. “My goal is to use the foundation of classical music, paired with the expressive techniques of the Romantic era, to evoke a sense of wonder and connect with audiences of all ages,” he shares.
The concert will feature a live symphony orchestra and special guest artists, including Lang Lang’s wife, Gina Alice. Together, they will bring Disney’s timeless stories to life, offering audiences a spectacular fusion of music and storytelling. Audiences can look forward to beloved Disney classics like 'Let It Go', 'We Don’t Talk About Bruno', 'You’ll Be in My Heart', and 'When You Wish Upon a Star'.
