Rina Sawayama throws a party in 'This Hell' in her new music video.

On 15 June, the 'XS' singer unveiled the electric music video for her new single 'This Hell'. The video sees Sawayama dancing in several glamourous cowgirl-inspired outfits, echoing the song's country influences. 

In a press release, Sawayama discussed drawing inspiration from country music: "I’ve just been so fascinated with the feeling of escapism that country music has. It’s very homey, but for a Brit, it sounds like the big Wild West. It’s quite random for a Japanese-British artist to make country music, but I never really care about those kinds of things. I just want to have fun."

Since its release in May, 'This Hell' has received rousing acclaim from critics and fans alike for its anthemic production and positive message for the LGBTQ community. 

'This Hell' serves as the lead single of Sawayama's sophomore album, Hold The Girl, slated for release on 2 September. Pre-orders for the album are now open here.
