The past few days have been tough for the Philippines as one of the strongest typhoons in history struck last Sunday (11/01).
Over the weekend, the Philippines was hit hard by tropical cyclone Rolly (international name Goni). The super typhoon made landfall with powerful winds and rains in Bicol on November 1, leaving destruction in its wake before making its exit from the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) as a tropical storm on November 3 (Tuesday).
UPDATE (13/11): Following Rolly, on the night of 11 November, the Philippines was hit again by typhoon Ulysses (international name Vamco), destroying cities all across Calabrazon, Central Luzon, and Metro Manila. Ulyssess left the PAR on 12 November but in its place is thousands of displaced citizens and some of the worst floods Manila has seen. The typhoon has also affected other parts of the country such as Isabela and Cagayan.
