SAINT SATINE is officially here. HYBE x Geffen has revealed the name and final lineup of its second global girl group, with Sakura joining former The Debut: Dream Academy contestants Emily, Lexie, and Samara in the newly formed quartet.

The group was introduced during the finale of World Scout: The Final Piece, a 12-episode audition programme that aired on the Japanese streaming platform ABEMA on Wednesday. Sakura secured the final spot in the lineup after advancing through the competition’s final rounds alongside fellow finalist Ayana.

SAINT SATINE marks the next chapter in HYBE x Geffen’s global girl group ambitions following the launch of KATSEYE in 2023 through Netflix’s The Debut: Dream Academy. Last August, the joint venture announced plans to debut another multinational act, with the final member selection taking place through a new audition series that began in February.

Before the finale, preliminary auditions were held across Japan, with selected trainees later travelling to the US between October and December 2025 to undergo training under HYBE’s K-pop development system. Out of approximately 14,000 applicants, four finalists — Hiori, Ayana, Sakura, and Aoi — were chosen in the programme’s sixth episode.

According to Son Sung-deuk, executive creator at HYBE America and performance director of the project, the group’s name reflects a duality in concept and image.

“Saint represents strong charisma and a commanding musical presence, while Satine symbolizes a softer, more elegant and sophisticated image,” he shared.

SAINT SATINE is expected to make its official debut in the second half of this year.
