CLOSE YOUR EYESMa Jingxiang sparks safety concerns after alleged sasaeng closely approaches him at Incheon Airport

A recent reel circulating online has sparked concern among fans after a woman seen closely accompanying Ma Jingxiang during his departure from Incheon Airport was allegedly revealed not to be staff, but a "sasaeng" fan. "Sasaeng" often refers to a fan who is overly obsessed, often going to extremes to be closer to an idol.

In the clip, the woman, dressed in a black mask, appeared to stay close to the Chinese idol as though she were part of his security detail, moving in a way that made her seem like a bodyguard. Fans were quick to react after the situation came to light, questioning how someone unaffiliated with staff was able to get so close to the artist while blending in so convincingly.

The incident has since prompted renewed criticism over idol safety management, with many pointing out how alarming it is that a sasaeng could approach an artist closely enough to be mistaken for legitimate personnel.

The incident underscores the ongoing challenges of idol safety in the face of overly persistent fans, highlighting the need for stricter security measures and more vigilant airport protocols. As Ma Jingxiang and other artists navigate public appearances, ensuring their protection from sasaeng intrusion remains a top priority for agencies and event organizers alike.
