Sasha Grey to DJ at Bang Bang during Singapore GP weekend

Although best known worldwide for her wildly successful career as an adult film star, Sasha Grey has since retired from that industry to pursue her more artistic passions.

In the ensuing years, she's become a published novelist, a photographer, a fashion model, and a legitimate actress, starring in films such as The Girlfriend Experience (by Oscar winner Steven Soderbergh), Smash Cut and Open Windows, among other leading roles on the big and small screen.

She's also put in serious time and work within the music industry. Most notably, she actually founded an industrial-noise band called aTelecine alongside production partner Pablo St. Francis. Signed to experimental imprint Dais Records (also home to Cold Cave, William S. Burroughs and Iceage, among others), the band was the subject of substantial media coverage and warm critical reviews.

As lead vocalist, Grey released eight full-length studio albums and one EP with aTelecine before departing the band in 2013. In addition to her own industrial-noise work, Grey has also famously lent her vocals to songs by Infected Mushroom and Current 93.

In recent years though, Grey has mostly focused on her career as a  DJ. She's toured North America, Europe, Australia and Asia as a DJ, headlining a number of high-profile nightclubs and parties. Known for her propulsive house sound, Sasha Grey has steadily earned a reputation as an in-demand figure behind the DJ booth.

During the 2016 Singapore Grand Prix season, she'll be the featured attraction at Bang Bang (within Pan Pacific Hotel) as part of their huge race weekend festivities! Her set takes place on Friday, 16 September and tickets are going for $45 (purchase limited advance tickets here).
