SB19 continue to make history as they return to Japan’s THE FIRST TAKE for not just one, but two powerful performances — bringing the fire with ‘DAM’ and the feels with ‘Time’.

The P-pop trailblazers — Pablo, Josh, Stell, Ken, and Justin — delivered a charged one-take performance of ‘DAM’, the hard-hitting anthem off their third EP Simula at Wakas. Known for fusing hip-hop intensity with traditional Filipino textures, the song became an instant classic.

Dressed down but dialed in, SB19 showcased their explosive synergy and vocal prowess, proving why they’re leading the global charge for P-pop.

Subsequently, the group returned for their fourth appearance on the coveted platform — this time with ‘Time’, a fan-favourite ballad that slows things down and pulls at the heartstrings. In a stripped-back setting, SB19 showcased a new arrangement that leans into the song’s emotional core, delivering delicate harmonies and raw vulnerability with a captivating rendition.

With these two releases, SB19 now hold the record as the first Filipino act to appear on THE FIRST TAKE four times, joining a list of global heavyweights like Harry Styles, Stray Kids, IVE, Tate McRae, Laufey, aespa, SEVENTEEN’s Jeonghan x Wonwoo, ITZY, BTS’ V, and Avril Lavigne.

THE FIRST TAKE is a Japanese platform that invites artists from different parts of the globe to sing their songs with a “single take,” meaning there are no do-overs or rehashes of their performance.
