SB19 are no strangers to evolution. With each chapter of their Pagsibol, Pagtatag!, and now Simula at Wakas trilogy, the P-pop supergroup has not only defined their sound—they’ve redefined what’s possible for a Filipino act on the global stage.
Just before their Simula at Wakas tour stop in Singapore, the five-member group—Ken, Pablo, Stell, Josh, and Justin—joined Bandwagon Asia for a playful and passionate chat on Screen Time, becoming our very first group guests on the series.
Here’s what went down.

On teaching Singapore A’TINs Tagalog: "Dungka!"
When asked what Tagalog phrase they’d teach Singapore fans before the show, the group fired off a few playful picks—including lyrics from their fiery hit ‘GENTO’. But in the end, “dungka” won the vote.
“It’s actually two words: ‘doon’ and ‘ka’,” Pablo explained. “It means ‘go there’—a very useful everyday phrase.”
On completing their trilogy: “Now, we’re sure of our sound”
Simula at Wakas marks the final act in their three-part journey—and this time, SB19 knows exactly who they are.
“With Pagsibol, we were still finding ourselves,” said Pablo. “Now with Pagtatag!, we’re more confident. The songs are more powerful, more passionate. We’re clear about the message we want to send.”
On dedicating a song to Singapore: ‘Time’
If there’s one track they’d share with Singapore A’TINs, it’s ‘Time’.
“It’s universal,” Josh shared. “You really feel it when you dig into the lyrics. I watched the MV and was like—‘woah’. It’s powerful.”
On pinch-me moments: “When they sing our songs”
Singapore was a milestone show for the group, with one of their biggest venues outside the Philippines.
“To see fans from all over in one place—it's surreal,” Stell said. Justin added, “When they sing our songs, even in different languages, that’s when it hits. We never imagined we’d get this far.”

On the future: Rage music, jazz, bubblegum pop?
So what’s next after Pagtatag!?
Ken floated the idea of rage or “opium”-style music. “No boy bands are doing that,” he said. “It could be fresh—if we pop-ify it.”
Meanwhile, Stell dreams of airy ballads à la Moira, Justin’s curious about Brazilian funk, and Josh cheekily suggested bubblegum pop—“for the group, not me!”
