SB19's justin is continuing to expand his creative universe with the release of his latest solo single, 'dahon'.
Written by acclaimed Filipino singer-songwriter Maki, the tender pop ballad reflects on love's ability to endure through life's inevitable changes. Using the metaphor of a tree weathering the seasons, the track explores commitment as a choice to remain steadfast and grounded despite uncertainty.
"'dahon' speaks about a kind of love that stays strong even through change," justin shared, adding that the song's imagery reminds him that "after a leaf falls, another one eventually grows," offering hope that genuine love can continually renew itself over time.
Accompanying the release is a new music video that introduces three original characters — Treesha, JahJah, and Brodie — further expanding the fictional world that the SB19 member has been building throughout his solo projects. Inspired by his love for franchises such as Pokémon, justin revealed that the characters serve as visual extensions of his music and storytelling, with plans to explore their stories through future releases and potential merchandise, comics, and storybooks.
The release also arrives alongside a multidisciplinary art initiative that merges music and visual art, a project that reflects justin's role as both musician and creative director.
