New music from So!YoON! is finally here.

On 14 March at 6 PM KST, the R&B and soul artist released her second full-length album Episode1 : Love under the record label Magic Strawberry Sound.

Episode1 : Love comprises 11 tracks and is said to be a limitless blend of rock, pop, R&B, acoustic, and electronic genres. The record features collaborations with BTS' RM, Y2K92's Jibin, and parkjiyoon.

"The significance of this project lies in experiment. So following the first album, I thought about how many experiments and performances I can do with this second album. Various desires, as well as love stories, are expressed and I wrote it with the intention of finding myself." said the 'CANADA' act in a recent interview with Bandwagon.

She added: "Likewise, I think my fans would be able to experience these different versions of me through this album. I’m showing something that I fear but at the same time, it’s also something that I can do best."

'Smoke Sprite', the album's title track, comes as a highly-anticipated collaboration with BTS' RM. The accompanying music video, directed by Leesuho, is a riveting display of So!YoON!'s vulnerability and strength in a cinematic film that blurs the lines between dream and reality.

On working with the global superstar for 'Smoke Sprite', So!YoON! shared: "With RM, I met with him naturally without any prior arrangement and we talked about our albums and listened to each other’s albums. He’s satisfied with the outcome of ‘Smoke Sprite’. It was really fun writing the lyrics and making the chorus together. It is no exaggeration to say that we truly made the song together."

Hwang Soyoon, who goes by the moniker So!YoON! for her solo music projects, is also the front person of South Korean rock band SE SO NEON. The band will be bringing their music to Seoul Jazz Festival  2023 as part of a stunning lineup that comprises the likes of TAEYANG, Epik High, Balming Tiger, Damien Rice, and many more.
