Breakout indie rock trailblazers semiclone have finally released their debut EP EXIT SIGNS that perfectly encapsulates the quartet's energy and groove.

The album opens with the feel-good and upbeat energy of 'MAKINARYA', setting the tone for the rest of the album with anthemic lyrics and an addictive melodies, rich with searing guitar riffs and bruising drum beats. The three pre-release singles 'NAKARAAN', 'HIJACKER' and 'TTG' come next, being pieces of the cohesive puzzle that captures a mix of genres and styles. 'NAKARAAN' presents a slower tempo, being a reflective and introspective track that pivots from the high-octane vibes of the first track.

'HIJACKER' brings the excitement back up with its peppy vibe as the track captures the yearning that comes when hoping that the other person stays in the relatioship as you feel them slipping away and out of reach, mentally checking out. The lyrics say, "Baby won't you tell me if you really want me or not," capture the confusion of miscommunication and the impact it can have on a relationship. 'TTG' carries the same fiery energy in making a difficult decision when it comes to breaking out of just being strung along, capturing the quiet angst that the situation ignites. Lastly, the album closes on a softer note with 'SIMULA. DULO.' With patient restraint, the track builds its momentum, culminating in a crescendo that resonates not with sudden force, but with quiet inevitability.

The quartet celebrated the release of the album with an exhilarating EXIT SIGNS EP launch where they shared the stage with a shimmering lineup of other amazing Filipino bands and artists. On the roster were acts like Oddjob, tuesday trinkets, GOOD GRADES and bird., who all kept the good vibes alive as they celebrated this milestone moment in semiclone's musical journey.

Opening with the gripping energy of 'MAKINARYA', the band set the tone early before reimagining 'The Great Escape' by Boys Like Girls as a confident declaration. The set shifted between reflection and release 'NAKARAAN' pulling the crowd inward, 'TTG' pushing toward intensity, and 'SIMULA. DULO.' unfolding into a patient, resonant climax. A preview of the unreleased track 'All My Friends Are Growing Up' marked a poignant moment of transition, while 'HIJACKER' sealed the night with restless, crackling energy.

With EXIT SIGNS, semiclone debut their confident persona and sonic identity, unafraid to explore its many shades. From explosive anthems to introspective slow burns, the EP captures the restless spirit of a band carving out their own lane in the indie rock scene. As the final notes of EXIT SIGNS fade, one thing feels certain: this is only the beginning for semiclone, and if this record is any indication, their journey forward is set to be just as dynamic and electrifying.
