Sights & Sounds honours the age-old tradition of vinyl records

On July 28th, The Hive Rooftop will be lit with good music filling up the space, in more ways than one.

Sights & Sounds, an annual series initiated by the Hive which celebrates music, art and design, will be honouring the craft of vinyl records this year.

Gathering passionate music lovers and enthusiasts of the format, the Collector’s Exhibition will feature an array of vinyl collections and art from various Singaporean vinyl collectors. Attendees can also visit the Vinyl Market to purchase vinyl from retail partners of the event

In line with this music series that aims to converge different sounds in one space, The Hive’s very own Record Party Sessions will be featuring live music sets by DJ KiDG from Hear Records, Kurt Loy from #vinyloftheday and magnetic // mza from the Analog Vault.

Priced at $5 per ticket (GST included), ticket holders not only gain admission to all areas of the exhibition, they can also obtain access to their Open Bar, set up by Sluggr. Doors open at 7pm.

Additionally, The Hive will also screen All Things Must Pass: The Rise And Fall Of Tower Records, a comprehensive documentary on the famed music chain, on July 18th. Tickets available here.
