One of Singapore's yearly high-key events will live to see another year — or four, to be exact.
Initially reported by The Straits Times, Minister for Trade and Industry S. Iswaran has announced that the F1 Singapore Grand Prix has extended its contract for four more years, leading up to 2021.
With this year being the tenth straight F1 Night Race in Singapore, it has been a landmark event in the country every year — with its races, parties and grand music performances. Over the past 10 years, the night races have brought in over 350,000 overseas tourists and visitors for the event alone.
The extension brings four more years of F1 concerts as well, so expect to see more big names drop by our shores.
