From today onwards, Singtel mobile customers will be able to enjoy data-free streaming with Apple Music at a monthly subscription fee of S$9.98.

The promotion was announced at an Apple Music event last night.

Singtel’s data-free Apple Music service entitles Singtel subscribers to stream from a catalog of over 45 million songs without fear of busting their mobile data limit, as well as download tunes for offline listening. The service is available at a monthly subscription fee of $9.98 for individual users, and $14.98 for up to six users with a family plan. New and re-contracting customers that sign up for the service will be entitled to a free six-month subscription.

The service will be available on iOS and Android devices, including the Apple Watch Series 3.

This will be the first data-free partnership with Apple Music in Singapore, although there have previously been similar partnerships with other music streaming platforms. Two years ago, Singtel Music was launched with the similar idea of providing cheaper subscription plans and data-free streaming on music streaming platforms like Spotify, KKBox and Tidal.
