The 5-time Grammy-winning instrumental ensemble, Snarky Puppy, is bringing their anniversary tour to Karpos Live on 27 May 2025 to commemorate 10 years of their album, We Like It Here.
First released in 2014, the album captured the band at their most explorative point of their career, redefining their sound while balancing innovation with their signature style. Performing at the beautifully restored theater adds a touch of charm to this special stage.
The band’s excellence continues to resonate on their latest album, Empire Central, earning them another Grammy Award for Best Contemporary Instrumental album. Released in 2022, it was the band’s love letter to Texas, blending the sound of their roots with their unique grooves which captivated audiences worldwide.
“Snarky Puppy has always been a band that prioritizes the sound of music,” says bandleader and bassist Michael League. Reflecting on the band’s one of a kind style, League shared, ”We focused more on communicating a clear message, understandable to a listener without dumbing things down.” This is the heart of their We Like It Here album, which has remained as a fan favourite for their dynamic approach and intricate textures.
The band recently released its 10th Anniversary Deluxe Edition, celebrating their remarkable journey over the past decade by reigniting the excitement for one of their most iconic works.
