Soi Music TV heads to California and explores Asian-American music

Pan-Asian music discovery platform Soi Music TV was recently in San Francisco and LA to film some Asian-American artists for Asian Pacific American Heritage month. The series features musicians with roots in Southeast Asia such as Laos, Cambodia, Thailand and the Philippines.

TRAVIS ATREO 

Born in the Philippines but raised in Seattle, Travis Atreo started playing music when he was 14. Starting with covers of Ed Sheeran, The Weeknd and Ariana Grande, Travis gained massive attention when Taylor Swift raved about his version of her 2015 hit, 'Style' on Twitter. With 17 million YouTube views and 10 million streams on Spotify, he has since decided to work on his own original music.

BANDWAGON TV

NAK

Born and raised in LA, Nak is a Filipino hip-hop lyricist and rapper. He continues to explore his Asian roots and collaborates with other Asian-American emcees like Mickey Cho and MC Jin.

ERANETIK

A Laotian-American hip-hop artist from San Diego, California, EraNetik always had music around him. Starting out with dance at age 10 and being exposed to his father's own music, the creativity and artistry came naturally as he grew up.
