Chinese folk icon Song Dongye is finally heading to Singapore. The acclaimed Beijing singer-songwriter will perform in the city for the first time as part of his Take Another Moment World Tour, taking over the Esplanade Theatre on 13 September.
The concert arrives on the heels of Song's long-awaited sophomore album, Take Another Moment, released on 29 June. His first full-length studio record in 13 years, the album marks a new creative chapter, with Song writing, arranging, and producing the project entirely himself. While staying true to the heartfelt storytelling and folk-rooted sound that established his reputation, the new release also sees him expanding his musical palette through collaborations with some of China's leading jazz musicians.

Fans attending the Singapore show can expect a setlist spanning both old and new material, featuring songs from Take Another Moment alongside beloved tracks from his landmark 2013 debut, Anhe Bridge North. Widely regarded as one of the defining albums of modern Chinese folk music, the record helped propel Song into the mainstream and cemented his status as one of China's most celebrated singer-songwriters.
Over the years, Song has continued to evolve beyond folk music, releasing acclaimed singles such as 'Guo Yuan Chao' and 'Empty Harbor Song' while taking full creative control over his recordings. His music has amassed more than a billion annual streams across Chinese platforms, with a dedicated international following that continues to grow. Beyond music, the artist is also known for his work in animal rescue, children's charities, and photography.
