Spectators who attended 88 Rising's Head In The Clouds Music and Arts Festival 2026 in Tokyo were in for an exhilarating surprise as they met Sony Music Label's latest girl group kiOra. Their electrifying performance established their confident charm and their innate ability to command the spotlight with ease.
kiOra was formed via the TORA PROJECT, an initiative that aims to champion world class talent by giving them a stage and allowing them to spread the joy of their incredible music to the world. Their debut on 28 March not only turned heads, but let the industry know that together, OTO, KYLA, RUKA, and YU are truly a force to be reckoned with.

Standing on that stage before a massive audience as they work toward their official debut later this year is an incredibly spectacular milestone. The members shared more about their experience at Head In The Clouds Music and Arts Festival 2026 as OTO shares, "It felt surreal to stand on the HITC stage. I had dreamed about it since I saw the Festival in LA last year. Thank you for watching our first performance as kiOra and I really hope we get to see you all again!" KYLA echoes a similar sentiment as she muses, "Thank you so much to everyone who came today! I was super nervous performing as kiOra for the first time, but your applause kept me going. We're going to keep doing our best, can't wait to see you all again!"
Set to debut under the concept of "Japanese Heritage" later in 2026, kiOra tie in their Japanese roots with their music and identity to represent Japanese talent on the rapidly growing global music stage. Looking ahead to more appearances and releases, RUKA shares her excitement for what the future holds saying, "I'm so happy we got to have our first kiOra performance in front of so many people today.
