Sony Music Labels have a new project on the way!

On 3 March, Sony Music Labels announced a new project, ReVers3:x( read as reverse cross), a project where people can enjoy watching short live videos of various artists' performances in a virtual space to launch on 3 March 2022

Created by Sony Music Labels Inc. in collaboration with Sony's latest technology, the virtual space was originally produced by MomentTokyo, REZ& and huez, who are known for XRLIVE productions. Designing the virtual space are the artists from OFBYFOR TOKYO. The launch of the project was highly anticipated, racking up more than 300,000 views for the released teaser.

Starting off the project is rapper KEIJU, who performed the tracks 'Falling', 'Tears', and 'In My Eyez' in the setting of falling cherry blossoms as the space moved through the city. Shot at Sony's studio, Volumetric Capture Studio TokyoMomentTokyo created the virtual space with the Volumetric capture technology using Sony’s 4K camera equipment and UNREAL ENGINE.

KEIJU is a also member of the hip-hop crew KANDYTOWN, Standing out with his mellow voice, he was the first member from KANDYTOWN to sign a major deal with Sony Music Labels, releasing his first single, 'Let Me Know'  in 2018.  

Team VJ and REZ took part in lighting and visual directing as a VJ. Both worked at major festivals before, showcasing their experience through the quality of the live show in the unique virtual environment.

Sony Music plans to have more XR live shows with ReVerse3:x, inviting more hip-hop artists in a random schedule in March. It aims to be a cross-cultural spot releasing various types of entertainment in a virtual space, which fans can look out for.
