Your daily streaming habits could soon get you closer to seeing your favourite artists live. Spotify and Live Nation have announced Reserved by Spotify, a new ticket access programme that rewards top listeners with early access to select concerts before tickets go on sale to the public.
Launching first in the United States this summer, the initiative uses fan engagement signals — including streams, shares, and listening activity — to identify listeners eligible for a dedicated ticket access window. Selected fans will receive an in-app notification and email, giving them the opportunity to purchase up to two tickets during a limited-time presale period.
The programme marks a new step in connecting streaming culture with live music experiences. Rather than separating digital listening from concert-going, Reserved by Spotify aims to bridge the two by recognising the fans who consistently support artists through everyday listening habits.

“Artists are building real fan relationships every day, and live is where those relationships become unforgettable,” said Darin Wolf, Global EVP at Live Nation. “Reserved by Spotify gives top listeners another way to get closer to the artists they love, while helping artists create more meaningful moments with the fans who care most.”
The rollout will begin with select tours before eventually expanding to more artists and international markets. According to Spotify and Live Nation, the programme is designed to help artists connect directly with some of their most engaged listeners while giving fans another pathway into high-demand shows.
As live music continues to grow globally, fans are increasingly building travel plans, communities, and entire experiences around concerts and festivals. Reserved by Spotify taps into that growing culture by turning everyday streaming activity into a potential ticket advantage.
For fans who already have an artist’s music on repeat, those listening habits might now lead to something bigger: a spot in the crowd.
