STARGLOW are taking their basketball ambitions above the court in ‘Slam Dunk’.
Released on 26 October, the energetic hip-hop single previews the five-member group’s debut album, Aurora, arriving on 18 November. Its music video places the members atop a basketball hoop suspended high above the ground, with a city at night providing the backdrop.
The basketball concept carries into the song’s message of overcoming obstacles and defying expectations. Choreographed by ReiNa of dance crew RHT., the routine is among STARGLOW’s most demanding yet, matching the track’s aggressive energy with a physical challenge for the group.
‘Slam Dunk’ follows another recent performance project, this time connected to League of Legends. Members TAIKI, KANON, and ADAM covered ‘Live My Life’ by Riot Games’ virtual group HEARTSTEEL. The accompanying video follows the trio recording their version, capturing a more relaxed side of the members as they deliver the song’s message of living freely as yourself.
Since debuting in January under SKY-HI’s BMSG, STARGLOW have moved quickly from their first releases to larger stages. They were the only Japanese act included in NME’s 100 Artists to Watch in 2026, while their second single, ‘USOTSUKI’, reached No. 1 on Oricon’s Weekly Digital Single Ranking and No. 2 on the Billboard JAPAN Hot 100. Their first arena show followed in August, seven months after debut.
The group will return to arenas next year with STARGLOW 1st Arena Tour 2027 ‘Aurora - The Dawn -’, comprising 14 shows across seven Japanese cities.a
