The return of Stärker Music Carnival made a huge impact with fans in attendance.

Providing a diverse and energetic set of acts for the night — from Jasmine Sokko's glacial electro-pop to A-Lin's heartrending balladry — Stärker stepped up in 2017 with a line-up that truly encapsulated some of the best Singapore has to offer.

Not only that, they provided a big marquee name in the form of A-Lin, which unsurprisingly brought on sheer fandom by the time the Taiwanese diva was on stage.

The line-up brought on talents in the form of The Façade — whose brand of emotional alternative rock is beginning to shine even further on the live stage. Mandopop crooner Alfred Sim exuded pure charisma with the excitable crowd, Disco Hue showed off their effortless groove, and Ling Kai proved yet again that she's rivalled only by a few in Singapore on talent alone.

The night was also reserved for the underdogs, as the winners of the Stärker Music Jam turned out to be fun-loving band Rabcde (pronounced rap-suh-dee). They walked away with a residency at Stärker Music, a sponsored single recording and music video shoot, and a potential year-long management deal with Cross Ratio Entertainment. Pretty impressive.
