Renowned Las Vegas magic and illusion designer Tim Clothier joins the Broadway team in making the show a gripping experience. He shares, "Willy Wonka is the king of imagination, and being able to design new stage wizardry for that character is a dream come true.”
This legendary, must watch broadway show that has been on the road since 2017, having presented more than 300 performances now, each showing more showstopping than the rest, could not have reached this level of enchantment without an insanely talented team working behind the scenes.
With a spellbinding musical soundtrack composed and by Marc Shaiman and written by Scott Wittman and Marc Shaiman. The musical is adapted by David Greig from Roald Dahl’s classic novel, with songs from the original film by Leslie Bricusse and Anthony Newley. First directed by four-time Tony Award winner Jack O’Brien with choreography by Joshua Bergasse, the global tour is led by director Matt Lenz, choreographer Alison Solomon, and music supervisors Nate Patten and Greg Jarrett.
The award-winning creative team includes Mark Thompson on set and costume design, Christine Peters for tour scenic design, Jeff Sugg on projections, Rory Beaton on lighting, Mike Thacker for Orbital Sound on sound, Basil Twist on puppetry. Doug Besterman provides orchestrations, casting by Paul Hardt Casting, with Joseph Longthorne as General Manager and Tayn Yeo as Associate Manager for Broadway Asia International.
