Intially held in 2023, the inaugral edition of Sunda Festival was an absolute blast. The pioneering event, which was the first-ever alternative dance music festival with camping in Singapore, proved to be a vibrant showcase for the musical and creative talent within the Asia-Pacific scene.
After a brief respite (and a fun warm-up), organisers Ice Cream Sundays and Hong Kong-based FuFu Creative are ready to return to Sarimbun Scout Camp for the festival's sophomore outing on Easter weekend from 18-19 April 2025. And since day one of Sunda 2025 falls on a public holiday, there will also be an Opening Night event taking place on 17 April 2025, the eve of Good Friday.

Best of all, Sunda has already revealed the first phase of what promises to be an extraordinary lineup. The music programming is headlined by live sets from renowned Japanese electronic musician Soichi Terada and South Korean multi-genre multi-instrumentalist Mogwaa, as well as DJ sets from acclaimed Chinese producer Yu Su and eclectic Australian duo Proto Exotica.
The bill is further complemented by outstanding local talent like psychedelic band Mantravine, groovy Geylang ensemble Sappy Chill, and jazz-informed beatsmith FZPZ; alongside respected DJs such as Halal Sol, Daryl Knows, Leland, Loyboy, Ramesh, Sadat, the crew from Revision Music, Ulysses and Zai.
As a bonus, the festival's Opening Night held at MDLR will feature Rush Hour Records co-founder Antal - a selector globally renowned for his expansive grab-bag of tunes ranging from Chicago house and boogie rarities to Afro funk and vintage disco.

“We’re committed to showcasing the most exciting alternative dance music artists from across Asia-Pacific and its diaspora, and with phase one of the lineup we believe we have achieved that. Of course, there are many more incredible acts to be revealed in phase two which we are very excited to share with the public,” said festival co-founder Daniel O’Connor.
