Lady Kash is back.

On 7 April, more than a year after the release of 'Anbu Gang (Dialogue Edition)', the Singaporean hip-hop artist made her long-awaited comeback with a new single titled 'Running In The Same Space'.

Penned by Lady Kash and featuring background Carnatic vocals from Indian singer-songwriter and classical dancer Laya, the catchy and introspective hip-hop number is one that sees the former reflect on how she has reached where she is today.

"'Running In The Same Space' is a sonic space that takes you into my intense current state of mind as the climb gets steeper. It reflects on my years of perseverance, purpose, and staying liberated by recognising that the journey itself is the destination," the first female Tamil-English rapper said of the song, which also features production work from Coventry-based music producer A.k.ashhh.

An accompanying music video for 'Running In The Same Space' will be released soon via AKASHIK's YouTube channel.

In May last year, Lady Kash, whose real name is Kalaivani Nagaraj, took a break from creating new music to focus on setting up a "safe and premiere" recording studio that catered to independent artists.
