The Itchyworms continue to spread the joy of their song to fans all across Asia as they hit Hong Kong as part of the acclaimed Akin Ka Na Lang tour. The group will take the stage for two shows including a 4 PM matinee and an 8 PM evening show, giving fans the ease of choosing which show would be the best time for them. The show promises a night of some of the group's greatest hits and beloved fan favourites such as 'Beer,' 'Love Team,' and 'Di Na Muli'.
The Hong Kong show goes beyond being just another stop on the roster. Jugs Jugueta shares more saying, “Hong Kong has always been part of the Filipino story. The fact that it’s so near, yet only a few OPM bands have played there baffles me. The last time I was in Hong Kong was in 2019, so I’m so excited to come back and eat goose with my bandmates.”
The show is also a way for the group to reconnect with their culture and community as they get the chance to meet Filipino fans at each stop including the upcoming Hong Kong show. “It’s very humbling that we are able to tour the world, and anywhere we go, there will be Filipinos there,” Jugs muses. “It is also humbling that multiple generations love The Itchyworms’ songs and continue to sing them everywhere.”
Despite making their Hong Kong debut, the band is embracing the unfamiliar with the same spontaneous spirit and boundless enthusiasm that have shaped their performances. As they continue bringing OPM to audiences across Asia, the Akin Ka Na Lang tour stands as a celebration of music, community, and the lasting connection The Itchyworms have built with fans both at home and abroad.
