Effie has been blowing up in the underground hyperpop scene lately thanks to her unique blend of kawaii hip-hop and drill alongside K-pop and alternative rock influences. Her previous single 'down' amassed over 260,000 views on YouTube despite no marketing or promotion.
Now the South Korean singer-songwriter and rapper is back with '코카콜라(coca-cola)', produced by frequent collaborator kimj. The new track is an addictive treat that continues in her signature vein of feminine meets masculine as she combines her sweet vocals with UK drill inspired production.
The evocative music video accompanying the song was shot and edited by Effie herself.
Effie is due to release her new EP E on 28 March via Korean label A MASS CULTURE.
