The Line Divides are back, and they’re bringing Cebu’s golden decade with them.
‘Nobenta’ is the band’s first new track since 2021’s ‘Destiny’ and a love letter to growing up in 1990s Cebu. The single blends warm synths, a touch of pop-punk soul, and heavy nostalgia — complete with lyrical nods to Wham, cassette tapes, and the iconic Weekly Top 40.
Vocalist Louie George Tabaña weaves a bilingual mix of English and Bisaya into a personal yet universal trip down memory lane: cruising the streets, chasing the night, and reliving “the best days of our lives”.
The track was produced by Nestor John Abellana, mixed by Dexter Sy, and mastered by Mich Pacalioga.
‘Nobenta’ will soon also come with a one-shot music video directed by Keith Human, filmed at an iconic Cebu landmark and styled with animations by Jan Pizon and Abby Pacanan. Playful and sincere, the video captures the track’s reflective tone with visuals inspired by vintage Filipino TV aesthetics.
