The Script guitarist Mark Sheehan has passed away.
In a statement by the band, The Script wrote: "Much loved husband, father, brother, bandmate and friend Mark Sheehan passed away today in hospital after a brief illness."
The band also asked fans to respect the family's privacy during this difficult time.
Sheehan co-founded The Script with vocalist Danny O’Donoghue and drummer Glen Power in 2001. Last year, the guitartist took time off during the band's US tour to spend time with his family. He returned to rejoin the band for the remaining legs of the tour, including their 2022 return to Asia.
