A music special elaborating on The Weeknd’s fifth full-length album Dawn FM is set to premiere exclusively on Amazon Prime Video on 26 February.
Directed by Micah Bickham, the teaser video for The Weeknd x DAWN FM Experience depicts an elderly Weeknd roaming through a dimly-lit alleyway before heading into an abandoned building where he passes out after being hit by a strobe light.
In speaking about his upcoming television feature, the R&B musician said: “I’m ecstatic to partner with Amazon to premiere the most elaborate live TV special I’ve ever done.”
“Welcome to the next phase of Dawn FM—a purgatory otherworld where live performance, theater, and performance art collide for a night out at the club.”
Tunes from The Weeknd x DAWN FM Experience will be available for streaming as an eight-track live EP on Amazon Music.
